GRP Open Mesh Grating
Manufactured for maximum performance, QuartzGrip® Grating provides unbeatable slip-resistance in wet, icy or oily conditions, helping to keep people safe from slips and falls. The open mesh design prevents liquids from pooling and allows air circulation while catching falling items and debris to avoid damage to what’s below.
Installation is fast and cost-effective; GRP is lighter than steel, reducing the need for lifting equipment, and it’s non-sparking when cut, eliminating the fire risks associated with hot works on site. GRP Grating requires very little maintenance but will outlast steel equivalents by decades. It’s impact-resistant, chemical resistant, non-corrosive, UV stable and self-coloured so it maintains its performance and appearance no matter how heavy the daily usage is.
Open Mesh Flooring & Fibreglass Grating
Available in a range of sizes and qualities including Standard Mesh, Mini Mesh, Micro Mesh, Screen Guard, Vinyl Ester, Phenolic, Conductive and Concave.
Our fibreglass grating, also known as waffle board, enables businesses within the Construction, Rail, Aviation, Marine, Offshore, Industrial and Utility industries to meet all their health and safety requirements, whatever the working conditions. It’s slip resistance meets the BS 4592 test for industrial flooring intended for use in wet areas. A coefficient of friction (CoF) is calculated by determining the mean angle of inclination that an operator can safely maintain when the flooring is subjected to a continuous stream of water. QuartzGrip® Open Mesh Grating achieves outstanding results compared to traditional materials such as metal grating or chequer plate. You read more on slip resistance here.
Make Your Floor Non-Slip
Our open mesh flooring is used on most of our fabrications to create safe, non-slip riser floors, working platforms and stairs. Floor grate doesn’t let liquid pool on the surface so is ideal to simply add to an existing surface to make it an anti slip floor. Flooring mesh can also be used to create a non slip ramp surface. If you need grating for walkways, the smaller holes in Mini-mesh grating are less vertiginous – ideal for areas where members of the public will be walking.
