GRP Aeration Tank Cover

We have just replaced a dangerously corroded, slippery, steel Aeration Tank Cover at Anglian Water’s Stock Road site in Southend. The new 60 square metre cover was made using QuartzGrip GRP 42mm solid top panels on a framework of GRP Channel, with stainless steel fixings coated in yellow to meet WIMES Specifications.

The new aeration tank cover is not only non-slip, the GRP used is impervious to the water and chemicals present in the tank, so will last much longer than its steel predecessor. Site Manager Marcin Jakobowski said “This project was delivered early, beating the programme, safely and to a high standard.” We also got some great feedback from the site manager:
