Working for Step on Safety
We are a medium-sized company with huge plans and even bigger dreams. Our recruitment policy is to choose the people to join the team that ‘fit’; the people that share our passion for providing excellent customer service and our enthusiasm for providing innovative solutions.
While skills can be taught – a ‘can do’ attitude and positive approach are part of who you are. And, because we want every step of our customers’ journey to be outstanding, we need outstanding, ‘can do’, positive people at every level – in the offices, in the workshop, on the road and out on site. We rarely work with agencies which means we see every application that comes in, allowing us to pick the individuals that will work with us to become the number one GRP supplier in the UK.
Careers in GRP
If you’ve never heard of GRP or never had the opportunity to work with it before, don’t let that stop you from getting in touch – we’re always looking for individuals to join the team that can bring new ideas and perspectives to what we do and will provide the necessary training for the right people. We’re actually an accredited supplier of NVQ qualifications in GRP fabrication. The roles we have include Sales & Business Development, Administration & Accounting, CAD, Marketing, Logistics, Purchasing, Quantity Surveying, Estimating, Quality Control, Yardsman, Storesman, Fabricating, Forklift Drivers, Delivery Drivers and Installers. So some of everyone – and we all work together to ensure Step on Safety is the very best business it can be.
Jobs in Brantham
Our offices and workshop are based in Brantham on the Essex/Suffolk border – easily commutable from Colchester, Clacton, Harwich and Ipswich and just a short walk from Manningtree railway station. The nearby A12 and A14 make longer distances possible too. We install our GRP solutions across the whole of the UK so, depending on your job role, travel may be necessary – whether that’s visiting potential clients in a sales capacity, visiting sites to survey or install or attending industry events and exhibitions. You may also need to stay overnight. We have some staff who live and work in the London area too.
Our office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm; workshop and onsite hours vary slightly
Benefits include:
- Competitive salary
- On the job training
